Caramelized Onions
3 T. The Tasteful Olive Roasted Onion olive oil
2 large, yellow sweet onions, thinly sliced
1 t. Himalayan pink salt (available at The Tasteful Olive)
1/2 t. black pepper
2 T. The Tasteful Olive Hickory Smoked dark balsamic vinegar
In a large skillet, heat the olive oil over medium heat until it shimmers. Add the onions, salt, and pepper and cook slowly, stirring every few minutes for 20-25 minutes, until the onions are deeply soft and golden brown. Turn the heat to medium low, add the balsamic vinegar, and cook another 5 minutes until the onions have absorbed the vinegar.
