Basic Balsamic Vinaigrette
1 T. The Tasteful Olive balsamic vinegar (your choice of dark or white)
1-2 T. The Tasteful Olive extra virgin olive oil (your choice of unflavored or one of our infused EVOOs)
1/2-1 T. Dijon mustard (optional)
1/2-1 t. honey (optional)
Salt & pepper, to taste
Whisk all ingredients together, pour over your salad and enjoy!
If you need to make a larger batch, we recommend maintaining 2 parts oil to 1 part vinegar.
You can make a larger batch and store it in your refrigerator for approximately 1 week. You will need to let the mixture come to room temperature before serving.
You can easily add or substitute other ingredients, such as mayo, different types of mustard, chopped garlic, and other spices, if desired.
