Simple Pesto
1 c. fresh basil
3 cloves garlic, peeled
1/2 c. fresh spinach (optional)
1/2 c. parmesan cheese
1/4 c. pine nuts or walnuts, toasted
1/4 t. sea salt
1/3 c. The Tasteful Olive medium intensity extra virgin olive oil
Pulse all ingredients in food processor.
Serve on Baguette bread slices, crackers, or pasta.
Variations:
If you don't like using raw garlic, replace half of the olive oil with The Tasteful Olive Garlic infused olive oil.
For a zesty variation, replace half of the olive oil with The Tasteful Olive Italian Lemon infused olive oil.
