Fried Green Tomatoes
1 c. all-purpose flour
1/8 t. garlic powder
1/8 t. onion powder
1/8 t. paprika
1/2 t. salt
1/4 t. black pepper
1 egg
1/2 c. milk
2 T. The Tasteful Olive Butter infused olive oil
2 medium green tomatoes, sliced 3/8” thick
1 T. The Tasteful Olive Jalapeno Lime white balsamic vinegar
Place the flour in a shallow dish (such as a pie plate) then season with the garlic powder, onion powder, paprika, salt, and pepper, using a fork to gently combine the mixture. In a separate shallow dish, whisk together the egg and milk. Preheat the olive oil in a medium sized sauté pan. Dip tomato slices in egg wash then into seasoned flour mixture. Shake off excess flour and sauté in olive oil. Cook both sides of tomatoes to golden brown color. Drain on paper towel. Place a few tomatoes on each small plate, sprinkle with salt, then drizzle with the vinegar. Serve immediately.
