Fried Green Tomatoes

Ingredients:

2 T Butter flavored olive oil from The Tasteful Olive

1 C seasoned all-purpose flour (see recipe below)

2 medium size green tomatoes, sliced 3/8” thick

1 egg  

½ C milk  

1 T Jalapeno balsamic vinegar from The Tasteful Olive

Directions:

Prepare seasoned flour. Whisk together egg and milk well. Pre-heat Butter olive oil in medium size sauté pan. Dip tomato slices in egg wash; dip into seasoned flour mixture. Shake off excess flour and sauté in Butter olive oil. Cook both sides of tomatoes to golden brown color. Drain on paper towel. Place a few tomatoes on each small plate, then drizzle with the Jalapeno vinegar. Serve immediately.

     Seasoned Flour Recipe

     1 C all-purpose flour         1/8 tsp garlic powder, granulated

     ½ tsp salt                      1/8 tsp onion powder, granulated

     1/8 tsp white pepper         1/8 tsp paprika
