Healthy Berry Smoothie
6-8 ice cubes
2-3 T. plain or vanilla flavored yogurt
½ c. frozen berries
2/3 c. almond milk (or milk of choice)
1/2 fresh banana
2 T. flax meal (optional)
handful of chopped kale
2 T. The Tasteful Olive mild or medium intensity extra virgin olive oil
1 T. The Tasteful Olive white or dark balsamic vinegar of choice
Place above ingredients in blender; chop, then puree. Transfer to a large glass and enjoy.
Cook's note: flaxmeal adds a grainy texture, fiber, alpha-linolenic acid (which is the plant version of Omega 3), and antioxidants (lignans)
